how not to dress like your uncle this summer

Its summertime, fellas. That means the beach, barbeques, family reunions and picnics. You will notice we didn’t mention the obligatory all white linen party. If you have ever been to one, well, one’s enough. Check it off your list please don’t attend one ever again. The question is, if you are not going to that all white linen party what should you wear this summer?
Men’s Flair has recently released a series of articles with suggestions for how to put your summer wardrobe together. There are suggestions here for what to wear to the beach so you can still look smooth when you hit the bar afterward. You will also find a whole article devoted to linen pants. We know we just made fun of linen, but there really are no better pants for a hot summer night out. We suggest complementing the one white pair you own with a color not so easily soiled. Finally, you can find an article on the newest trends in sunglasses. Apparently, the Sundown look is back. Yes, Sundown is the black guy in Top Gun that Maverick jacked up toward the end of the film. “We could have had ‘em Mav’.”
Finally, we have a few points of “our own†for you to keep in mind this summer.
- Even though you are black you should still wear sun block.
- If you have a dark complexion, you want to avoid bright yellow and orange. We shouldn’t have to mention florescent colors should we?
- Wearing shorts means wearing lotion especially if number two applies.
- Let your woman wear the capris in the relationship, please.
